Our tuition is highly competitive with regional Friends Schools and other top-tier independent schools. We offer tuition assistance, sibling discounts, payment plans and other options to make your child’s education affordable. Our Director of Admissions and Advancement will personally sit with you and your family to discuss your options. Few investments are as important as the one you choose to make in your child’s education and we will help to make that education accessible.

1-Pay: Early Full-Pay – 3% discount if paid on or before June 1, 2017.
SMART 2-Pay: 65% due in June and 35% due in November 2017, plan fee $100.
SMART 4-Pay: 25% due in June, August, October 2017 and December 2017, plan fee $200.
SMART 10-Pay: 10% due monthly June 2017 through March 2018, plan fee $300

Tuition Assistance (Financial Aid) Program

Tuition Assistance 2017-2018

As a Quaker school, Friends School Mullica Hill is committed to maintaining a diverse student body, representing varied economic backgrounds. Consequently, since the beginning of the school in 1969, significant funds have been devoted to tuition assistance. For the 2016-2017 school year approximately 35% of the student body at Friends School received tuition assistance.

As a school community, we expect parents to pay for the educational expenses of their children to the extent that they are able. The purpose of the tuition assistance program is to fill the gap between the actual cost of a year’s tuition and what a family can realistically be expected to pay toward this cost. We understand and appreciate the financial commitment families undertake in deciding to send their children to Friends School Mullica Hill.

In order for us to allocate our resources wisely and fairly, we have enlisted the help of Independent School Management’s FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition) program. ISM’s FAST does not decide whether tuition assistance will be given or how much to give; rather FAST provides the school with a report, which includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition. All information from FAST is kept confidential and applications are only reviewed by the confidential Tuition Assistance Committee.

Procedures for Parents:

1. Access the FAST program website for FSMH. All your financial information should be entered directly through the secure server. Please be sure to enter your name on the application exactly as it appears on your tax return. Space is provided to fill out additional information that may be pertinent to your application. In addition, a copy of your tax return MUST be mailed directly to FAST. Instructions and mailing information are provided on the FAST Website.
2. There is a non-refundable fee of $43 required by FAST to process the aid application. FAST accepts American Express, Master Card and Visa for payment. Once completed, the application will be available immediately for the Tuition Assistance Committee’s review, however the Committee will not meet until after March 15th. You may be contacted if additional information is needed.
3. Please note, for returning families, re-enrollment contracts and deposits must be received by March 1st to be considered for tuition assistance.
4. New families will be notified about tuition assistance awards after their admissions application has been submitted and accepted.

The deadlines for applying for tuition assistance for the 2017-2018 school year are as follows:

March 1st – Online application must be completed
March 15th – Tax return and W2 must be sent into FAST
April 18th – Notification of tuition assistance awards begin
