For Alumni
Class of 2007
With pride, we send them off to these high
schools—
Friends Select, George School, Moorestown Friends School,
Westtown School, Archmere Academy, Bishop Eustace,
Camden Catholic, Paul VI, Gloucester County Institute of
Technology, Clearview High School, Eastern High School,
Kingsway High School, Overbrook High School, Salem High School.
Over seven hundred alumni have attended Friends School during its first 35 years. We graduated 200 alumni from our Upper School between 1969 and 1992, and graduated 300 alumni from the Middle School between 1993 and 2004. Many of our alumni graduated from the Middle School while the Upper School was still operating and have a special relationship to the school having completed what is, for the time being, our highest division. The rest of the 200 alumni we have in our records attended Friends for at least one year.* Our newest alumni will be the current 8 th grade, the class of 2005. We send these thirty-one students off to an impressive range of high schools wishing them the kind of successful, fulfilling lives that so many of our alumni have had.
There remains a great deal of interest among our alumni to
re-open the Upper School program to once again make Friends
a pre-K through 12 th grade school. Our focus on the early
childhood, Lower School and Middle School programs over the
past thirteen years has created a strong foundation upon which
to build the second incarnation of the Upper School. However,
the current school depends to a large extent on our alumni
to provide the energy, passion and resources to help us expand
into the future.
We hope this web-site becomes a place that our alumni community uses to communicate with the school and with each other. We are working hard to update our alumni database and are excited about utilizing the new ways of connecting to our alumni afforded by the internet. If you are not on the school’s mailing list, please fill out the contact form located at the menu to the left of your screen.
*PLEASE NOTE: The class year we use after your name reflects membership in a graduating class. This helps keep alumni grouped with the people with whom they share classrooms and grade levels. Alumni who did not graduate from the high school are still listed with the alumni they would have graduated with from the years 1973-1992. Because there was no high school graduation after 1992, alumni who completed the middle school program from 1989-2005 are listed with middle school graduates.
