Extended Day & Early Arrival Programs
The Extended Day and Early Arrival Programs are excellent options for parents who need someone to care for their children before and after regular school hours. The Early Room begins at 7:30 a.m. and provides quiet, teacher supervised time and a place for early arrivals at school.
The Extended Day is a teacher supervised program which includes snacks, arts and crafts, organized indoor and outdoor games, and stories and drama for students of all grades. The program is open until 6 p.m. and is coordinated with our program of instructional music lessons. Provisions are made for quiet places for students who wish to read or do homework. A Homework Division is provided for students with a snack and study hall time.
The Early Arrival Program
Available: Monday -- Friday, 7:30 am until 8:30 am
Location: Noel-Baker Building
Provides: Quiet, supervised time and a place for early arrivals at school
Cost: $4.00 per day
The Extended Day Program
Hours and Days
The program is open after each full day of school until 6:00 pm , beginning on the first day of school in September and ending on the last full day of school in June. When school is closed on conference days and in-service days, the program is open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm for registered Extended Day students only. There will be special trips on these days.
Activities
Because our regular school day provides a full measure of academic and instructional challenge, our Extended Day Program is basically recreational. We will serve a snack and provide activities that include active, organized indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, stories and drama. Provisions will be made for quiet places where students may do homework. The program may be coordinated with our program of private instrumental lessons.
Homework Division
Students may join a modified portion of the program for an after school study hall supervised by one of our teachers.
