Middle School Social Studies & Civics

Over the next few weeks the Civics class will be following
the primary elections closely. As you are all aware, this
has been a particularly exciting primary season that will
necessarily have historic results. In addition to following
daily election events, the class will continue with its study
of the three branches of the Federal government. Our Executive
Branch unit is almost complete, with the Judicial Branch to
follow. As we study the judiciary in the United States, the
class will also chart the progress of civil rights for minorities
and women from colonial times to the present day.
