Giving to FSMH
There are many constituencies that support the school (these are listed in the Annual Report, which is available from the Development Office). Some examples of the groups that support the school are as follows:
The Friends School Board of Trustees sets a leadership role in supporting the school. Besides donating their professional services to support the school’s needs, they are asked to support 20% of the school’s Annual Giving total. The Board has achieved this goal last year, anticipates doing so this year, and this year achieved a 100% participation level. This in particular represents the collective strength and commitment of the school governing body.
The Friends School Parent Association also donates services and sponsors fund-raising events. The proceeds go toward funding school community events, enhancing buildings and grounds, and “wish list” items such as computers, books for the library, new bleachers for the gym and musical instruments.
Friends (Quakers) have donated to the school over the years in many ways. Friends Meetings in the Salem Quarter have donated to the school’s Annual Giving fund and also made large contributions to the school’s building fund.
We treasure each and every contribution to the school as an expression of your belief that the school is doing vital, good work and that our students deserve the best educational environment possible.
