About the Friends School Mullica Hill
While our students come from many ethnic and religious backgrounds, Friends School Mullica Hill has its roots in the Quaker tradition.
Quakers identify the values of honesty, simplicity, compassion, integrity, commitment to community, and courage as the core of a good life. The school encourages each student to achieve his or her highest academic, social and spiritual potential by recognizing the value of individual differences and abilities, and by providing an open and stimulating learning environment.
We are committed to a class size that permits an unusual degree of individual attention, leading to close student/teacher relationships and fostering a healthy learning environment. Our solid academic curriculum challenges all children to do their personal best. The curriculum is rich in basic skills, and it encourages critical thinking, creativity, and individual growth. Our small classes offer the support students need to find their own strengths. Foreign language instruction begins in pre-kindergarten where our 4-year-old students are introduced to Spanish.
Our faculty also includes specialized teachers for music, art, physical education, and computer. Our librarian teaches students to fully utilize our library resources.
