50th Timeline: Summer 2007: A Year in the Life of Friends School Mullica Hill — Graduation and Beyond

Oct 13, 2020

The end of the year brought warmer weather and a host of end of the year traditions, including Field Day, some final field trips (pictured here), and, of course, 8th grade graduation.  Building off the traditions of the High School graduations that had sadly ceased, the 8th grade graduations became truly special events, highlighted by each student writing and giving their own speech in front of...

World Mental Health Day

Oct 12, 2020

Saturday, October 10th was World Mental Health Day and it is important to discuss focusing on our mental health and wellbeing. The goal is to reduce the stigma. Even under the best of circumstances, it can be hard to tell the difference between challenging behaviors and emotions that are consistent with typical child development and those that are cause for concern. It is important to remember...

Oct 7, 2020

The coming of Spring was always something much anticipated and meant a return to outdoor playtime and different sports over the years, such as baseball, softball, and track.  In 2007, Friends School Mullica Hill fielded a softball team and a track team.  The Spring also was a time for two very special and long-running events at the School.  One was the Spring Auction, the premier fundraiser for...

I absolutely love this.

Yesterday was the culmination of our almost year-long artist in residency with educator/artist, Gail Scuderi, who worked with students to create new mosaic panels for our campus. At our Celebration of Creativity and Community, we officially unveiled our new mosaic panels with the themes of friendship, light, hope, and growth. Students shared their experiences and gave appreciation to all involved. Thank you to Young Audiences Arts for Learning, New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts for the Arts Lab Residency Grant we received. Please be sure to stop and see the beautiful panels when in the neighborhood. ... See MoreSee Less
