Sep 6, 2022

by Isha Strasser [This talk was given at our New Family Orientation on September 1, 2022.] Welcome to New Family Orientation!  Let’s begin our orientation with the word itself. According to the etymological definition, the word “orientation” originated in the early 1800s, and referred to the eastward facing direction of a building or landmark. By the late 1800s, orientation took on a meaning...

Welcoming a Salem Oak Seedling to FSMH

Apr 29, 2022

By Isha Strasser, Director of Enrollment and Communications On Friday, April 29, 2022, students, faculty, and staff will gather to honor the planting of a seedling from the Famous Salem Oak. I absolutely love this.

Yesterday was the culmination of our almost year-long artist in residency with educator/artist, Gail Scuderi, who worked with students to create new mosaic panels for our campus. At our Celebration of Creativity and Community, we officially unveiled our new mosaic panels with the themes of friendship, light, hope, and growth. Students shared their experiences and gave appreciation to all involved. Thank you to Young Audiences Arts for Learning, New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts for the Arts Lab Residency Grant we received. Please be sure to stop and see the beautiful panels when in the neighborhood. ... See MoreSee Less
