X Day Activities for Fri, April 10th

Today is our second X Day. Are you ready? Today is designed to be a day of extra time for assignments from this week of Distance Learning as well as a chance to try some extra activities offered by our teachers. For some of our community members, today is a holiday, so feel free to try these activities over the weekend or even next week! There are so many cool things to try, and you are also welcome to take the initiative and try something on your own! If you do, be sure to send us a photo at media@friendsmh.org.

T. Sophie’s Sidewalk Chalk Challenge for All!
Walking around my neighborhood, I see so many beautiful sidewalk chalk drawings that really lift my spirits!! So I’d like to pose a challenge to you: Create a sidewalk chalk drawing that shares a message in Spanish! Or, make a bilingual message in Spanish and English. Don’t forget to make it colorful! Email a picture of your masterpiece to sragone@friendsmh.org.

T. Brad’s Book Clubs for Students in Grades 6 to 8
After filling out a survey on popular Young Adult book titles, Language Arts students in grades 6 to 8 will be sent ebooks to read for fun. We will then discuss these books in upcoming Zoom “Book Club” meetings.

The Pre-K Cardinals class is encouraged to practice stacking and sorting with colorful plastic eggs or household items!
