X Day Activities for Fri, April 24th

Today is X Day! Today is meant for extra time on assignments, extra help from teachers, and/or extra challenge opportunities to try during Distance Learning! We hope you will take advantage of this “X Day”!

Here are some offerings from the FSMH faculty and staff:

T. Diane’s Suggestion for a Virtual Tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art
T. Amy’s Outdoor Movement Game
T. Diane’s Post-In Note Art Exhibition (student submissions pictured above)
T. Ben’s Last Call to Celebrate Earth Month!
T. Patricia’s Make A Droidtastic D-O Door Hanger (Star Wars)

T. Dawn’s Background Challenge:
Create your own pattern or landscape background for meetings with your class and friends! It can also be your “no video” pic.

T. Nancy’s Camping STEAM Challenge
Students can create a tent for small toys using toothpicks and mini marshmallows. How many small toys can you fit under the tent?

5th Grade’s State Fair at 10 am
Middle School Drama Rehearsal with T. Sophie, T. Kate, T. Dawn, and T. Joanne at 1 pm
T. Brad’s Make a Mayoral Campaign Ad for 8th graders
T. Brad’s Middle School Book Clubs at 10 am and 10:30 am
T. Annie’s Zoom Reading of Junie B. Jones!
T. Patti’s More Math on X Day Extravaganza! (Individual Zoom sessions were offered to 4th graders)
T. Yannique’s Into the Universe: Space Paintings
T. Debbie’s Egypt Extension: View and measure the Sphinx and pyramids using Google Earth
T. Patricia’s Social Zoom to play games!

Last week during our Spirit Week, we had an “anything but a backpack day.” Our students had such clever ways of bringing in and transporting their school supplies for the day including suitcases, shopping carts, golf bags, hockey nets and more!
