50th Timeline: September 8, 1969 – The Year of Two Campuses

Oct 25, 2019

As discussed in the last post, a group of Trustees and staff from Woodbury Friends School created the Friends School of Gloucester County based on a vision of a multi-campus school with locations in Woodbury and in Mullica Hill (and perhaps more locations in the future).  During the 1969-1970 academic year, most grades continued to meet in Woodbury but some completely new grades began at Mullica...

50th Timeline: 1968 – The Friends School Corporation and the Search for More Space

Oct 18, 2019

In the last post, we discussed the rebirth of Woodbury Friends School and its growth in the 1950s.  As the School grew, space became an issue. By 1966, the School had, in spite of the space issues, added seventh and eighth grades.  Many wanted to add high school grades as well. This desire to expand led some of the teachers and overseers to form a new Friends School Corporation with a goal of...

50th Timeline: 1968 – Success, Growth, and New Additions

Oct 11, 2019

The new Woodbury Friends School began as a simple elementary school, but it grew slowly over the next decade, adding grades year after year.  By the late 1960s, Woodbury Friends School had grown to over 200 students and included classes from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade. Those who attended the Woodbury Friends School in the late 1960s have many fond memories.  One of those students was...

Wow! Yesterday was a spectacular day for Day 2026! Students were assigned to two different teams, of course, the blue and the green teams! The morning started in our Kramme Gym with some introductory remarks by our student Heads of School for the day. Next our Dance club offered up a performance, followed by a lost & found fashion show. The 8th graders then announced their yearbook dedication to T. Sophie. After the indoor events, students were unleashed onto our campus where they enjoyed various games, inflatables and Kona Ice. The morning ended with a foam party! So much fun! Thanks to T. Tim and all our family volunteers for an amazing day! ... See MoreSee Less

Three weeks until Summer Camp at Friends School Mullica Hill!

One of the most unique things about our camp is that our counselors are graduates of our school, former campers and members of our faculty and staff.

Whether campers work with current teaching professionals or students who have been through our program, everyone is committed to having fun!

Camp is open to any child ages 3 to 13

It begins on June 22 and ends Aug. 14

Last week, FSMH hosted a circus themed art show in our Hanshi Deshbandhu building. Every student from Pre-K through 8th grade had a piece in the exhibit. The students’ mediums included water colors, mixed media, acrylic on canvas, glazed ceramics, and yarn just to name a few! Congratulation to all our students for their amazing work! ...
