Friends School Mullica Hill Adds Two New Board of Trustees Members

Friends School Mullica Hill, a Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade independent Quaker school in Mullica Hill, announces the appointment of two new members to its Board of Trustees. Monika Williams Shealey and James S. Zakrzewski recently joined the Board. Both bring with them years of experience in education and business.

Monika Williams Shealey
Monika Williams Shealey is the Senior Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Rowan University. Prior to her appointment in this role, Shealey served as the Dean of Education at Rowan. Shealey received her PhD in Education with a specialization in Exceptional Student Education at the University of Central Florida. Shealey is well known and respected within the education community; her hard work and dedication have been honored with numerous awards over the course of her career. In addition to her work with FSMH, Shealey currently serves as president of the National Holmes Scholars Alumni Association and is a member of the Board of Directors, American Association of College of Teacher Education. Shealey is a parent to a 4th and 8th grader here at Friends School.

James S. Zakrzewski
James S. Zakrzewski recently moved to Sewell, N.J., after having lived his entire life in Philadelphia. Zakrzewski is a Small Business Relationship Manager at TD Bank. He received his Risk Management Association Certification at the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Temple University. Zakrzewski has also served as the treasurer of the Newtown Business Association and as president of the Kiwanis Club of Yardley. He is the proud father of eight boys, seven grandchildren, and married to his best friend DiAnne. Now that Zakrzewski and his wife are “empty nesters”, they look forward to this next chapter in their lives. In terms of joining the FSMH Board of Trustees, Zakrzewski said, “It is my desire to make that [next] chapter include giving back to the community in ways that compliment both my work history and life experience.”
